Mike Berenger - Founder and Director of Training
BS, NSCA, NASM PES, SPARQ
Mike has earned the reputation as one of the best performance trainers in the Atlanta area by helping athletes get stronger, move faster and compete at a higher level. With an Engineering background, Mike’s attention to precise detail reinforces his teaching of proper technique and movements.
Mike is responsible for the fundamental programs employed by Rapid. These programs are derived from cutting edge research passed down from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Mike’s expertise has given him the opportunity to work with professional and a variety of high-level athletes at the collegiate and high school levels.

Michael Scaggs - General Manager
Michael Scaggs is responsible for the day-to-day management of Rapid Sports Performance. His responsibilities include but are not limited to developing policy and procedural strategies to assist with staffing, marketing, pricing, and contractual negotiation & compliance. Mr. Scaggs brings more than 20 years of knowledge to Rapid in all aspects of human resources, employee & customer relations and organizational development in a variety of industries. Along with his business operations experience, Michael has held management/consulting positions in the sports & special event industry with such diverse organizations as Special Olympics International, Pan American Games, WorldCup '94, and the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games. He has also coached youth soccer for 8 seasons.
Michael holds a bachelor of arts degree in organizational/industrial psychology from Purdue University. He is a member of the Atlanta Sports Council and Who's Who of International Business.

Joe Elam BS, NASM, MedX, SPARQ
Joe is a graduate of Indiana State University with a Master's Degree in Physical Education and Sports Medicine. He has been in the field of rehabilitative exercise for over 19 years. Joe is NASM certified as a Corrective Exercise Specialist and is SPARQ and MedX (low back strengthening and rehabilitation) certified. He has coached at the age group and Division 1 college level for the University of Miami, Texas Tech University and Indiana State University. Joe has been affiliated with Rapid since 2005.

Trevor Williams
NSCA, SPARQ
Trevor is a certified trainer through the NSCA. He graduated from Sequoyah High School where he earned four letters and all-region honors in both football and baseball. Trevor went on to play college football at Tusculum College in Greenville, TN. He is currently attending Kennesaw State University majoring in Health and Physical Education with a focus in Exercise Science. Trevor has helped develop athletes from a wide variety of sports and age groups.

David Migliore
BS, NSCA, SPARQ
David is a speed and strength specialist and a certified SPARQ trainer. During his youth, David played competitive soccer in the U.S. and Europe. He has coached for several years and continues to play soccer at the amateur level. His love of sports lead to a career in sports performance training. David works with athletes of all ages and with a variety of sports from the individual to team level.
David is a native of Nice, France and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia State University.

Mike Gilliam - Scholarship Coach & Mentor
Mike is an accomplished former Division I athlete. He was recently inducted into the Kent State University Hall of Fame with the likes of Lou Holtz, Jack Lambert, Thurman Munson, and Ben Curtis. He was a two-time Nationals qualifier, top ten Nationals finisher, Midwest Regional Champion, five-time conference champion, school record holder, and two-time team captain at Kent State University. He also coached at the Division I level winning a conference championship, and performed in five world tours as a professional athlete entertaining millions. He’s been featured on ESPN, CNN, That’s Incredible, the Tonight Show, and Late Night with David Letterman. Mike has recruited some of the finest athletes in the world. He has also completed four marathons including the Boston Marathon as well as Atlanta, Chicago, and San Diego. He has helped hundreds of high school student-athletes and their families with the organization he founded in 1998, Opportunities Through Athletics, inc. (Oi). He and his national organization, based in Marietta, have helped secure over $30 MILLION in scholarships and financial aid for the student-athletes with whom they work.
